“Detail page removed” - due to policy issue “reference to heart health” in listing - but Product Description cannot be updated because listing is deactivated - Amazon Seller Support doesn’t know how to fix.

I have been stuck in a loop for 3 weeks.

  1. Listing won’t updated when we save it
  2. Amazon Seller Support are not able to edit the listing (?? I don’t understand)
  3. One of them then tried, and couldn’t because listing is deactivated (welcome to the problem mate)
  4. Listing cannot be reactivated until the wording is removed - but there is no way to fix the listing?

I am so frustrated - it has been 3 weeks of this.
Why can someone from Amazon not just remove the 1 sentence from the Product Description as I request.

And by the way - I am brand owner, and they agree I am brand owner… Still not able to do anything!

I’ve been there many times. SS and Brand Registry official stance for brand owners is: they cannot and won’t do any changes as only the brand owner can do it.

Try this solution:

  1. Delete product & listing
  2. Wait 24 hours
  3. Upload changed listing info via inventory file - use the correct file with exact category, freshly downloaded from Add Products via Upload / Download spreadsheet / List products not currently in Amazon’s catalogue
  4. Wait 24 hours
  5. Appeal to the removal, pointing Batch ID with updated information.

Unfortunately this is not updating still.
I can see the changes there, but Amazon is not processing them into the “live” version of the listing in the SellerCentral.
Any other suggestions?
How can I escalate?
It has been 4 weeks and I reckon I have spent 50hrs of my time on this.
