Royal Mail Saturday orders for Sunday Delivery

HI,

How do we opt out of premium delivery options without affecting our PRIME status? We have gone from 1 or 2 Royal Mail orders on a Saturday for a Monday delivery to 50 Royal Mail orders every Saturday for Sunday(next day).

This was never an option before, and now it is affecting our overall performance because orders are not being received in time by the end customer in time due to Royal Mail delivery performance.

We have configured Saturday as our Prime weekend operating/delivery day and Sunday as the non-operating/non-delivery day. This has never changed for 3 years.

Hi @Seller_bx6vAhtZzaoiu,

Three years of stable weekend configuration and a sudden jump from a couple of Saturday orders to 50 promising Sunday delivery points to a change in how delivery promises are being calculated on your account, not something you did.

Two things to verify right now.

First, go to Settings > Shipping Settings > General Shipping Settings and look at your Delivery Setting Automations. When this is active, Amazon uses carrier performance data to determine delivery promises for Prime orders, and it can override your manual weekend setup. If the automation is factoring in Sunday as a valid delivery day for Royal Mail, that's the source of the problem.

Second, check your Order Fulfillment Settings under General Fulfillment Settings. Look at your Weekend Operation Settings and confirm Sunday is still unchecked. Several UK sellers have recently found this setting changed without their input, so even if you haven't touched it, it's worth a fresh look.

The core issue is that Royal Mail Tracked 24 dispatched on a Saturday does not promise Sunday delivery on their end. The mismatch between what Amazon is showing buyers and what Royal Mail can actually deliver is what's dragging your OTR down.

For next steps, open a case through Seller Support and reference the specific order IDs showing the Sunday delivery promise alongside your shipping settings showing Sunday as a non delivery day. Ask them to review the delivery promise logic applied to your SFP Royal Mail orders dispatched on Saturdays. Correcting a delivery promise that doesn't match the carrier's actual service will not affect your Prime eligibility.

If you don't get traction through that case, follow up here with the case ID and I can take a closer look.
