The customer found out they ordered the wrong product after two months
Hello everyone,
We recently received a return notification from a customer on the amazon.fr (FBA product). The customer stated in the customer return reason that they found out “accidentally ordered the wrong item” after more than two months of purchasing our product. We find it quite surprise because it’s unusual for someone to realize they made a mistake in their order after such a long period of time. What’s even more surprising is that Amazon provided a full refund!
We understand that the customer has two years to claim a lack of conformity on an object purchased in the European Union. However, we believed that this guarantee is intended for cases where the product has defects or does not meet the standards.
In this situation, where the customer claims to have “accidentally ordered the wrong item,” is it still reasonable for them to receive a full refund after two months? if anyone has any experience on these situation, that would also help!
By the way, our product is a small electrical device.
Thank you!

Hello EZD!
Thanks for reaching out on the Seller Forums.
Would you mind sharing the order ID so I can check things internally?
Best,
Maja

Was it two months after the EDD? It should only be up to 30 days after the EDD, or actual delivery date if tracked.
Do you have a return address in France? Were the goods less than EUR25/£20?
