KYC now in its 6month - Account deactivated - Stock shorty being returned - no end in sight
Thought I would share my story, we spent a lot of money building up a regular customer base all to be lost due to KYC. I have been replying weekly supplying anything they ask for. You cannot talk to the KYC team so everything has to go through support. My latest is that they just say my document is invalid. This document holds all the required information that have asked for over the last 6months, so what part is invalid! I have been asked to add people, remove people, add myself twice then remove myself, add various statements, etc… the list just goes on.
My account is on hold, my stock is only a few weeks on being returned to me. This is all costing us so much money.
I have been calling the health specialist, they cannot see what’s wrong and send a request for KYC to review, but I only get a vague rejection email the next day and back to the beginning. I have send every possible document available on the business and its structure. Maybe this is where my Amazon journey ends, just as it was getting going.
Any advise would be very much appreciated! I am at a total loss and mentally depleted from this process.

Before resubmitting anything, I would suggest checking everything matches exactly. E.g. if you are VAT registered, your registration on HMRC exactly matches your address and name on Amazon, to the letter and punctuation. The same for Companies House and that your address on there is not a virtual one with many other companies at the same address.

So not checked then. It seems so important that every pixel matches everywhere. I would make sure the Ltd., LTD. or Limited, whichever you decide on, is consistent everywhere, along with everything else. Even if Amazon say it will be overlooked this time, it will almost certainly crop up again, maybe in a few years, or weeks, who knows. Be proactive now rather than reactive down the line.

So i submitted the documents, I cant amend them as they are orginals and that would against Amazon guidelines. I was advised to write an email to the KYC team letting them know that it was agreed that the Limited, LTD should not reject the KYC verification. I was assured this would solve the issue. All submitted.
Today REJECTED, company name does not match.... Back on the phone now.
If i doctor the documents Amazon are very clear that this can result in a ban from using the platform. So updating these documents so the LTD Limited etc.. is not an option

Hi @Seller_MawY5f20D9yx1
I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your account. I'd like to help get this resolved for you. I can understand how frustrating and complex the KYC process can be and I am more than happy to advocate on your behalf.
To provide proper guidance, could you please share a Case ID associated with your account? This will allow me to connect your information with the appropriate team for review.
Once I have that, I will forward your case for review. As soon as I have an update from the team, I will respond to this thread.
In the interim, I'd encourage you to double-check the following:
- Ensure all submitted documents match exactly what appears in Seller Central (name, address, business details)
- Any small discrepancies, such as a shortened name or a slightly different address format will result in a rejection
- If you notice anything that doesn't align, update your information in Seller Central to match your documents, then resubmit for verification
Looking forward to your response and working together toward a resolution. The seller forums community and I are here to help.
Best,
Casey

So today 03/06/2026 I created the company chart as per the the help. I have triple checked all documents and they are all look aligned. I al made sure all names included the full names including middle names consistently through the document. I hoped this might have been the missing step. Unfortunatley not, rejected.
Business name on submitted Statutes should be World of Spice Ltd
Provide an official document issued by a government agency. You can refer to the help page to see acceptable documents.
The provided document is invalid. Please upload a new document.
I have run the document through AI, with the error that Amazon are suggesting.. and this is the result
✅ The Good News — Government Document Exists
The PDF does contain a valid government-issued document: a CS01 Confirmation Statement from Companies House, filed electronically on 03/11/2025 (page 97). This is exactly the type of official government document Amazon requires.
⚠️ The Problem — Company Name Mismatch
Amazon's error says the Statutes should show "World of Spice Ltd", but throughout the entire document — including the CS01, the Articles of Association, the Written Resolution, and all other pages — the company is consistently named:
"World of Spice Limited" or "World Of Spice Limited"
The name "World of Spice Ltd" does not appear anywhere in the document.
This is almost certainly the root cause of the rejection. Amazon's KYC system is likely doing an exact or near-exact name match, and "Ltd" ≠ "Limited" in automated checks, even though they are legally equivalent.
What To Do
You have two options:
Contact Amazon support and explain that "Ltd" and "Limited" are legally identical in UK company law (Companies Act 2006, s.59). The official registered name at Companies House is "World of Spice Limited" (Company No. 02762118), and the CS01 on page 97 confirms this. Ask them to accept "Limited" as equivalent to "Ltd".
Look like I will be back on the phone

Last Case ID was 12659762562. But there has been many cases as they are closed very quickly meaning I have to keep opening new ones.
One of the early ones was in January ID 12032147532
If you can help and save my Amazon business I would be grateful. We have lost so much business, we have spent thousands obuilding up our brand and customer base and this is all being thrown out the window.
I have not yet had 1 clear question from KYC on what is needed. I am prepared to do anything to get this back on line.
Seller_MawY5f20D9yx1
I have updated my company name in the details to World of Spice Limited as I realeased this is the only thing I can change, change the name to match the documents. LTD to Limited really should not be a reason for months and months of deactivation. Fingers crossed this goes ahead, I will update this space.

Just been rejected again saying the World of Spice Limited does not match. I am now also being asked for additional beneficaries. The only ones they can be are from the discretionary trust, these are not named beneficaries so do not have any control or any rights to shares or distributions. I replied to KYC with this but nothing back. I will try to add one of these in to see if this gets it through. No idea how to move the World of Spice not matching. The only inconsistency is that the O in "of" is sometimes a capital and sometimes not. I cant alter official documents as this would be illegal. Really hitting a brick wall.

A swift check with companies house and a common issue for KYC failures is your companies address. Its a multi company drop box/correspondance address 44/54, Orsett Road, Grays, Essex, United Kingdom, RM17 5ED. Its not the real address that your company works from a quick reverse check on the address shows 100's of companies registered there. This raises a major red flag with Amazon although they rarely actually tell you what the issue is just that you have failed KYC and leave you floundering around trying to find an answer. Addresses like this are often used by people who may/maynot be registered as UK residents as a method of not paying tax and Amazon has a legal responsibility to try to prevent this.

So after adding the other beneficiary from the trust it is still rejected. The chat help has said they cannot see any rejection? And told to just resubmit. Not holding my breath on that solution but let’s see how that goes.

hi please contact me may have some helpful information
Seller_MawY5f20D9yx1
Rejected again, KYC replied and named the beneficiaries they are looking for.
But these are the beneficiaries from the discretionary trust, no shares and not real beneficiaries. They have given me instructions on how to add these but I have already added 4 and there is not an option to add any more. They have send instructions on how to add more than 4 but the steps they describe do not exist. On further research it appears that you need to ask KYC to manually select the option to add in more than 4 beneficaries.
Number of beneficiaries is defined by the company type you select, I have selected private company which only allows 4, therefore a manual override is required from Amazon.
I hve replied to KYC asking for the additional beneficaries entries.

KYC have now only opened up 1 additional slot and the support now say they only want 1 additional person. This is now done and submitted. I would like to think this is now the end of it.
