Improve Listing Quality forcing irrelevant attributes into listings

Recently, last few months, changes to our branded listings are being made on our behalf by Amazon. This is in the form of the attributes that show up above the bullet points. Many of these attributes have nothing to do with the product and should not be there...and some of them do not even show up in the upload templates so cannot be altered by the seller. This was the first problem...now I see there is the Improve Listing Quality link next the the listing in Inventory list. And again, when clicked on many of the options do not relate to our products or listings. And the attributes shown are not consistent among the child products, but vary as you select a different size or color...even though the attributes should be the same. Amazon should stop adding or subtracting attributes to Branded listings, and the brand owner should have complete control over the listing...we know our products infinitely better than your algorithm!

Hey @Seller_lkeusirIqAVzA, have you already reached out to Seller Support to correct any attributes that are incorrect? If so, please let me know the case ID!

This has been a huge issue for a long time. See, for example, this thread:

Amazon Adding Incorrect Attributes Branded Products

These machine-generated attributes, published above the manufacturer's description, almost always show misleading, irrelevant and confusing information - yet there's no way to edit this.

Seller Support seems to be unable to help.

If anyone can suggest a way to influence the choice of Attributes displayed, and the information shown for each Attribute, we'd be really grateful.

Edited to add:

An example of a false and confusing attribute displayed above a competitor's listing (ASIN B08TMBN987) is shown below.

Here the machine-generated attribute states that this plastic sewer jetter hose is made of "Pearl, Polyester".

The Product Dimensions attribute is also wildly incorrect, stating that the 100 Ft drain cleaner is 120" (10 Ft) long.

More to the point, none of these machine-generated attributes provide any useful information to help buyers compare the product with others.

It would eliminate a lot of confusion if sellers had the option to hide this Attribute section.
