New seller and few questions
Hello friends.
I am a new seller and i need few correct information's before i start, in order to avoid any feature issues.
Things i've done so far.
1. I've opened an LTD which is used to my amazon seller account.
2. I've opened GS1 account and purchased started pack with 1000 codes. They seem to be GTIN-13.
3 My amazon seller account is configured, ready to go.
4. I have items in stock for few different categories.
Questions:
1. While checking and researching to sell my items, i found out that about 80% of the items i want to sell, are already available for sale on amazon.
2. I've been applying to sell few brands which requested approval, and they all have been approved. Not time to list them.
3. When i try to create a listing for that specific item, should i go on the existing listing page, copy the ASIN number found there and choose 'Sell This Product?
By selecting and choose 'Sell This product' UPC or EAC number are not required and i can see the listings can be created in as quick as 2 minutes. From my own thinking, once an item is sold, i will need to print one of the codes from my GS1 account and attach it to the product or package. I've assigned about 10 codes so far for 10 products i want to sell with their specific information and details.
Is this the correct way?
4. I do have items purchase from different suppliers from UK and abroad, which they don't have any stickers or codes, nothing on them, just boxed items with all their details, brand name or item name and details on the packaging.
What should i do in this case? How to sell them? I can confirm, some of this items are not found for sale on amazon yet. So they will be new listings.
** The issue started here: hence i tried to create 2 listings, and they both got the same error (You May Not Create A New ASIN for this Brand)
This 5461 error, only shows if i choose the option (Copy Listing), and i insert my own GS1 GTIN-13 specific code.
What is the fix here?
Any advise and guide are welcome for a new starter on amazon.

Really too many questions for any of us to answer on here, would take far too long ! Have you read and looked at Amazon's Seller University ? - all vital info for new sellers is there. You should list your items using the bar code on the product, not necessarily the ASIN, and not just something that looks the same, and possibly has been branded by other sellers.

As above definitely go through the relevant bits of seller university
You dont (or shouldnt) put your GS1 codes onto someone else's branded product
You need to get permission from brands to sell
You need to make sure you buy from proper recognised suppliers not retail
