Amazon Account Manager phone call
hi guys,
I’ve received a phone call from someone claiming that she’s an Amazon Account Manager and she will be happy to support me in my Amazon selling journey. She’s also sent me an email with services that I should enrol in, such as Sponsored Ads, Amazon Vine, automated pricing etc., The email address has the name of the person and ends with the domain "@amazon.com"
Vodafone signalled the phone number as “Suspected Spam”, I still picked up the phone to see who it was and I just want to be sure this is not a scam.
Has anyone else had any such experiences?

It’s likely legit, but don’t get too excited. Those kind of account managers are basically there to get you to use other services.

Its likely legit, but 100% not an account manager they are Sales to get you to spend more money and lower your prices to a unsustainable level to increase amazon profit.
As others have said, once you spend with them they will dissapear.
I had one of these phone calls and i mentioned the new VTR at the time and hermes returns postage and they had no clue whatsoever on the subject.

I’ve had a few of those over the years and they always claim they are there to help you. What they really mean is they are there to try and extract more money from you, but sadly Amazon won’t be honest about this. They are not account managers, they are glorified sales reps.
I usually begin by asking them to help me with a problem (there’s always something) and suddenly my ‘account manager’ instantly disappears and isn’t interested in helping me any more.

I would agree with others the only calls get are from sales reps to encourage you to sign up for things that increase your spend. They have no clue on the general difficulties you may have with selling on Amazon.
If we had an actual account manager to iron out some of our issues we would list the other 75% of our products on Amazon. As it is we just regard Amazon as an add on to our business and one which will probably fall away at some point. Never had any actual help from Amazon and my god we have tried to get some!!!
