Thanks all.
I have the following response from Amazon

“Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand that you had questions regarding packaging requirements if the following information below is allowed to your packaging.

  1. My website
  2. My social Media account
  3. support email

As per checking it is allowed . Since it is a manufacturer information on how the buyer can contact you about the product. It is allowed as long as it is imprinted to the packaging of your item.

Amazon will not accept marketing materials such as pre-priced labels, pamphlets, price tags or other non-Amazon labels.

I’d imagine if it’s in small writing as part of the ‘manufacturers address’ then it’s fine but things with amazon are such a fine line it’s not worth the risk. A lot of the big brands that do it, don’t sell off their own sites either

I think OP, you need to be clever about this.

Anything suggesting that you are attempting to generate sales through non-Amazon channels will theoretically get you into deep doo doo. That said, we really don’t know who is seeing your items and who has any authority or motivation to take action.

You might get away with it.

Lets be honest, it’s probably just average warehouse staff who will ever see your shipments.

Everything on Amazon is not " can I ", but " can I get away with it ".

People answer " No ", but the truth is there are thousands breaking the rules and getting away with it.

It just so happens if you do get caught, there is only black and white - AMAZON’S BLACK AND WHITE and no grey areas or nuance in between.

I’d say, tread carefully.

Why not try with your product, making sure all your branding is to do with support and customer care, NOT diverting sales. See our website for technical support, recipie suggestions, recycling information and so on … ?

I have the following response from Amazon which sounds a bit contradictory:

"Having read your email, I understand that your concern regarding to know what information to update the packages. I will certainly assist you with this case.

Please be informed that sellers are not allowed to add the promotional contact information over the product package.

If the manufacturer have the support or contact details on manufacturer box, that will be ok to update in package.

Kindly work with the manufacturer regarding product packages.

Please let us know how we did.

Were you satisfied with the support provided?"

So… first of all there is a distinct difference between packaging that is part of the product (i.e. its own box) and packaging that has been added by the seller.
If the manufacturer has included packaging as part of the product, this can have full details of the manufacturer, including ways to contact them, their website, etc.
For example I have a box of hot chocolate in front of me, it includes a phone number, contact address (this is in addition to the manufacturer’s address, it’s a postal address for contact) and a link to their homepage, which they use to sell their products as well as their support/etc.
This product is sold on Amazon, it currently has 10 offers available: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cadbury-Original-Drinking-Chocolate-500g/dp/B017IQKYXQ
You can guarantee they don’t make packaging especially for Amazon…
On the other hand if one of those sellers packages that item into a box which contains their own contact details/etc. that would be against Amazon’s rules.

The rules get blurry when the manufacturer is also the seller…

I would say it also depends why you want to put it on there. As a private label I think it would always been seen that it’s there to drive sales to you, unless you go down the route of recipe ideas that kind of thing as mentioned above (using the hot chocolate example) I don’t imagine cadburys put their website on for people to buy from although I know you can, they’ll be well aware people buy from shops or supermarkets that’s why they mostly sell bulk packs, personalised items etc in their shop
