IPI Score going down every week? Any suggestions will be appreciated
Hi Everyone
I need some help/ suggestions,
I am doing wholesale FBA ( buy directly from the Brands and then ship to the Amazon FC, I an using FNSKU labels
I am a new seller and the IPI score history is as follows
Week 51------486
Week 52------480
Week 1--------479
Week 2--------473
Week 3--------470 (The score updated today in the morning)
Here is the screenshot from my seller central dashboard.
I have 18 listings that are active
14 listings are inactive due to being out of stock and 10 of them the supplier has finished the lines and I cant restock them,
Out of these 14 listings, listings I have closed them.
Any suggestions on what should be the plan of action.
Shall I close the 10 inactive listings also or shall I close and delete all these 14 listings, and what will be the impact of closing deleting the listing on the IPI score.
Any suggestions for increasing the IPI score.
Thanks in advance

It’s mainly the sell through rate that affects ipi
Has that been dropping each week ?

If you’re never going to sell the listings again, why keep them?
Are all 18 of your active listings selling well?

As I will be unable to source the goods, so I will be unable to sell them again,
So deleting the listing instead of closing will have a positive impact on the IPI score?
I was reluctant in deleting the listings as what will happen if some customer returns the item and I have already deleted that particular listing, will go in the stranded inventory?
Are all 18 of your active listings selling well?
Few of them were not selling as when I listed there were few FBA sellers and now sellers have increased and have reduced the prices.

Not sure where you are based or what your own storage facilities are like but we send little and often and our ipi has stayed over 600

Thanks, @Demel and @NEil
For explaining/ clarifying the points.
I am in a perplex situation as to what to do with regards to closing/ closing deleting the listings which I am unable to restock again due to the supplier having finished that line. ( in context with the IPI and the restock limits)
Keeping my scenario any suggestion will be much appreciated
Previously if I f was shipping 50 units in a month, now I plan to send 25 units in two shipments fortnightly. Will it be the right decison?
Will it help improve the IPI, sell-through, restock limits?

My IPI has been dropping one point per week for the last couple of months now (this week is the first week it has remained static) and my stats look a lot like yours though mine is currently 791. Even with increasing my in stock rate it was still going down and my sell through remains pretty much the same all the time. I am wondering, with the announcement that they have lowered the threshold, whether they have changed something and the new threshold is to allow for it.
As Neil suggests, I have converted anything I don’t plan sell at the moment back to FBM just in case I ever decide to sell it again.

Inventory Planning > Restock Inventory to guide you with stock replenishment. That will help.
Increase sales and remove dead stock. That will help to increase your restock limit.

What’s your STR from week 50? You seem to be doing well for a new seller and with your circumstance regarding sourcing products.
Your STR will probably start rising again from next month. January is a quiet month and if anyone tells you that this is a busy month for them then they’re probably lying. Ignore those.
Try and source new products that you can list
Ride the Jan storm out
Don’t waste all your profit on sponsored listing and it’s tempting particularly in Jan.

I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but to sort out your “out of stock” metric change them to FBM and once you get more stock change back to FBA again.

Any stock that is slow moving or going to be out of stock for a while, mark it as non replenishable then it will no longer count in your IPI score. Just keep the fast moving stock as replenishable.
