Can you be traced via UTR number?
If someone got hold of my UTR number, would they be able to find out my name and my details etc?
or does it just show company name?

Your UTR has nothing to do with a company, its personal to you. I reckon if someone has got hold of it then they’re more than capable of linking it to you.
If you’ve given your UTR away what else have you divulged?

I believe that your UTR is only known to HMRC and any employers you have given it to and others like Amazon.
This information is not public but I’m sure with a correct legal process, an authorised body like the police would be able to trace you.
I guess you are just concerned about giving out your UTR to Amazon. I guess there is a risk but one would hope that appropriate security measures are in place. But not sure what use your number is to criminals. Maybe they will pay some of you tax?
