Spam Calls from Madrid
Hello
I received a couple of telephone calls today, from a number in Madrid, Spain, claiming to be Amazon Seller Support wanting to discuss my account health.
The first call came through on my mobile and I didn’t answer it. A voicemail was left saying it was Amazon Seller Support, and that they would ring me on another number in 5 minutes. The second call came through on my landline 5 minutes later, but it was a bad line so I hung up.
I went through to seller support to find out if this call was legitimate, and of course they have confirmed it as spam.
I just want to warn everyone else to be careful if they receive a call like this as it was very convincing, and I don’t know how they managed to get hold of my two phone numbers.
The incoming call number was {Moderator Edit (Jessica) phone number removed}. (Madrid, Spain)

I would not go on what Seller Support says as they’re often clueless. A quick google of this number shows up as Amazon calls dating back as far as 2018, I believe it might be a legit number from the account health team, they have local numbers in all EU countries.
Do you sell on the Spanish marketplace at all? Check your performance notifications just in case.

Someone else mentioned calls from Madrid a few days ago - they later had a warning come through about an IP complaint. So, likely a legit call.

Last year I was contacted by SS in Spain regarding the Responsible Person roll out. They also called my mobile, but they opened a case in my case log letting me know why they wanted to speak to me which was helpful and reassuring.
The SS agent was one of the most helpful I’ve ever encountered, wish they were all as good as the chap who contacted me!

I had a call from there last year as well, tell them to add a case number in SS, make them read the case number to you, and you know legit
