Read onlyI've managed to put one book up (I think.) It should be found by searching 'Secrets of the Unknown... ALAN CLASS'. I've stared at 'Manage your inventory' for 2 days and phoned Amazon, online chatted with them, gone from one person to another, received emails and texts and a million 'one-time-verification' codes but no answers. How do I edit my listing?? I want to add a picture of the cover and 3 or 4 pictures of interior pages. I clicked on something that says 'Manage your images' and it goes to a page which has nothing to do with uploading images. The book is £19.99. Amazon has put 'free postage' on it. I want to edit it to say postage = £3. How do I do these edits? I can't find an edit page which allows me to add pictures and add a postage price. It's been 2 whole days and I'm exasperated. Please help.
This is a FBA product which is not yet published
While you set your price but you limited in number of times you can change.
Amazon will set delivery costs as if your prime customer you get FREE delivery as part of your annual fee, Non Prime customers who's spend is below a freshhold will be billed P andP at Amazon rate
If you were FBM that is you send the book out to customers then you can you can set your own postage rate if you are on the Proffesional selling plan. Also in FBM setting you can add about 10 images which you are trying to do, As a FBA i dont your ever going to be able to charge the customer a P&P fee. @Seller_ZVAz3d5lZuGid would you agree as a fellow FBM seller
Go back!! Don't even start! Unless you want endless trouble and love dealing with complete irrationality - aka computer data base madness - losing money unfairly and having NO RECOURSE , no matter how accurate your case is, giving Amazon unhindered access to your hard-earned vi.a their new 'refund account' , Just don't.
Just keep an eye on this sellers forum.
You are entering a complete minefeild of mismanagement here. Amazon ar NOT seller focused they are purchaser biased and if you insist on selling through them be it a your peril. The sellers tools are a nightmare to get a grasp of and even on this Forum which is supposedly here tohelp us you will find is the majority of replies you get are not help only people using Amazon Jargon to prove how clever they are! There is no easy route to listing items and selling. There is also zero help if you become, as many of us have, a victim of a scammer or unscroupolous purchser. Amazon will ALWAYS side on the side of the purchaser even when you provide clear proof that you are not at fault. Returns (never actually returned) can be for any eason the purchaser decides - Not delivered (even when tracking shows it has) delivered damaged, not as described, not what I thought it was, just don't like it or any other feeble reason they can think of. The only positive I can give is if you do get it right and you are the selling the right item or items then it can be a lucrative place to sell but even then you may think its just not worth the hassle!
You've had some responses that are fairly typical but not sure how they're overly helpful to you however much I agree with them!
So, I'll give it a wirl.
I'll add I'm not a book seller so it may be different to adding items other items which I do quite a lot.
If you go to "Manage Inventory" and you can see your product you should see 3 dots on the right hand side of the inventory. If you click on that your top line should be "edit listing".
When you click on that you may or may not see an "images" tab.
If you don't try selecting "all attributes" on the left. If you don't see it then then there's a "suggest changes to product information" link on the top right hand side. If you click on that that should show you an images tab. You should then see an images page you can add images too. Try uploading those and wait up to a day to see if that works.
If that doesn't work you might want to look at the format of the pictures, size, background and other info. Obviously you can do that before you add them but they can get a but snippy with some weird things so a perceived error on one image can stop all of them showing.
Postage is a whole different issue and you're probably better just letting Amazon do what they like there and adjust the price accordingly. The fees are the same anyway.
If all fails try and get on to a live chat and you may be lucky and find someone who can walk you through it whilst looking at your account.
For your seller account, click on the settings button on the top right of any Amazon seller page (it looks a bit like a flower). Click on "account info" and then you should see "manage your services", click on "sell on Amazon" and you should be able to downgrade to individual. Bear in mind what's said above about being a business, HMRC, etc. I can't recall what the deal is for being an individual seller is on Amazon, I know the fee structure is different but I don't think it prevents a business from using it.
2 days of being exasperated with Amazon is very much amateur level. So if you're carrying on, get ready for more of that! As much as I get exasperated with them it is still one of the best selling platforms.
That is Amazon itself selling the book. Presumably it has picked up the info for it from a 3rd party database (Nielsen?) and is listing it for pre-order?
Interestingly, for an as yet unpublished book, it has a sales rank which suggests Amazon has already taken a number of orders for it!
