Customer Service Outsourcing: Is Third-Party Allowed on Amazon?

We are considering outsourcing the management of our Amazon account’s customer service to a third-party software provider. Are there any potential issues with transferring the management of our customer service to a third-party software?

Could anyone recommend a third-party software that allows us to receive and view incoming customer messages in real-time?

You need to be careful allowing any 3rd party access to your account. It's your account, your responsibility, so if anything goes wrong, it's all on you.

Hello @Seller_6pVpQkRgUr5P4,

Thank you for utilizing the forums! Also big thanks to @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 & @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp for the valuable feedback.

I wanted to share the Amazon Selling Partner Appstore site. All apps are vetted and approved by Amazon in the following ways:

  • We ensure compliance and transparency. We verify that all third-party apps comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy which includes transparency on data access and regulatory compliance.
  • We verify that your data is secure. Apps must follow our Data Protection Policy, which governs data security and management on Amazon.
  • We continually monitor and audit third-party apps. We audit apps to make sure that they comply with our policies. We check if the listings on the Appstore and the developer's website have accurate and consistent information about pricing, functionality, and claims about the product.
  • We remove apps that fail the audit from the Appstore.

For more information about how we vet third-party apps, go to Protecting your account and data is our top priority.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Joey
