Excess Inventory help
Hello,
I been looking around about excess inventory but I couldn't find much info, just wondering:
1. What happens when the inventory is age 180days +? what are the cost? where can I see the fee chart?
2. I went to fulfilment reports/recommended removal, its recommending me to remove some of the inventory, whats the cost for it? just wonder if I let it age more than 180 days for a bit longer but I am able to sell the remaining inventories is it still better than just remove all?
3. How do Amazon calculate the inventory age? I tried using my shipment received date to calculate but seems different from what Amazon system is showing.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Regards,

Hi @Seller_1drsiTB5msDwV,
Thank you so much for reaching out with these questions!
Amazon considers items to be excess if it has over 90 days of supply based on the forecasted demand.
You will be able to find storage rates for inventory that's 26 weeks+ (180 days+) in the monthly inventory storage fees help page.
I'd also recommend checking out the Inventory Performance help page for more information on excess units, storage costs, and how to reduce excess inventory.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions on excess inventory - I'm happy to help.
Thanks again,
Jameson
