Cancelled orders not updating stock count
Hello all,
i believe there is glitch in my inventory/manage orders.
It appears every time an order changes status from pending to cancelled my stock does not get refreshed.
Meaning that although i did not send that item on my inventory the stock is deducted.
i have just gone through my cancelled orders for the last 3 months and all the pending and cancelled orders that did not go through are stopped but the stock has not refreshed back to the true and accurate stock count.
has any one else had the same issue and any advice on how to resolve?
Thanks

I’ve only ever had two cancelled FBM orders - one is still available the other was ordered at a later date so must’ve gone back into stock. Do you use any listing / inventory software?
Also doesn’t seem to be an issue with FBA for me.

no listing software , i noticed it by chance as a customer ordered the same item by chance then cancelled one of the items ,although i still had one in stock , it did not not update the cancelled item as available, so i checked all cancelled orders over the last three months and none have been re listed as in stock

I’ve found its hit and miss some update others don’t, the nearest I have come to working it out is that if nothing has changed other than actual sales since last stock went to 0 stock is added back in but if you have added stock before running out or changed price or edited the listing in any way stock doesn’t get added back, that said if you add more stock before you run out and it goes to 0 and the cancellation is within 14 days it sometimes gets added back in, so if you include what you had left over from cancellation you can end up selling more than you have physically had, so left second guessing.

I’m FBM too and this happens to me - have to check once a week or so and re-list when necessary. … why this happens for some items of my inventory and not others is one of those impenetrable Amazon mysteries

I am probably being totally thick, and despite selling on here for 15years - where do you find cancelled orders ? - have hunted high and low and cannot seem to find them

i guess its not a glitch, its something that happens with amazon listings

i have just checked random cancellations from 3 years back and none were put back in inventory, its definitely something that someone would have picked up on , anyway its very quiet at the present time, something to do

It’s always been like this (certainly since I’ve been selling on Amazon, FBM, since 2016). I don’t bother with them (unless I remember to relist at time of cancellation), until I do a stock-check/Amazon Inventory, used to find 10-20 items that need re-listing. Not any more as I hardly sell enough to warrant a professional account now!!!
