Delivering to Ireland - What is now needed?

Hi

I have just had a package returned (large letter size with a CD - value £15) from Irish Postal Service as Rejected / Failed electronic customs clearance. Before I resend it, what is the new information that is needed? I have looked on the Irish Post website and it refers to a TARIC code and it shows a HS6 Code 852349 and also a suitable 10-digit code for GB import of 8523491000. Is this the new information that is required or is it the Amazon IOSS number also required and do I add these to the CN22 or as part of the address label. As I sent this International Tracked & Signed, I want to make sure that I understand the new requirements going forward and, as you can tell. I am confused.

Thank you

Alison.

Hi All

I have been reading some of the challenges being faced with deliveries to Ireland and, rather than it being my problem, it looks like there is unlikely to be a way of getting anything through Irish customs and on to customers at the moment. Similar to a lot of others, I will have to take Ireland off my available countries.

I will keep watching for updates

Alison

My account manager told me that Irish customs are doing things different to the rest of the EU

They are apparently rejecting items based on the material inside the package. she said they are in ongoing talks with anpost but doesn’t know if or when things will go back to normal but there is definitely a problem

We just started shipping to Ireland again two weeks ago. I’d heard stories of the difficulties other sellers had been experiencing but to be honest everything seems to be getting through for us so far with no problems.

We are shipping via Hermes and we are producing shipping labels via the Hermes API. All the relevant customs info is set up on our system so all the required customs data is available when scanned.

So this is the key I think. All the electronic data needs to be present and correct when scanned by customs, otherwise it will be rejected.

Hi Alison

Would it be possible to send me a photograph of the return. Please erase the customer details from the image.

Order below £150 complete a CN22 form please make sure you complete the correct one. There are two versions going around. The correct one is the one with the barcode if you are using Royal Mail to dispatch your orders. HS code are 10 digits missing digits will cause issues, also product origin.

Were you given the IOSS number via Amazon? if not you may need to register for EORI number starting with XI.

On this forum I have seen printed dispatch labels that just contain the word IOSS without any numbers.
