Prime badge removed upon price increase, forcing me to sell my products at a loss!

Whenever I attempt to increase the price of my private label ASINs below, Amazon removes the Prime badge from the listings. As a result, I receive no sales since the products no longer appear in search results.

If I increase the price of ASIN B09HR7JT95 above £8.49 the Prime badge is removed, hence why it is on sale for £8.49. Similarly, if I increase the sale price of ASIN B09HR68DTV above £7.99 the Prime badge is removed, hence why there is currently no Prime badge showing and no sales being received.

The standard selling price of the above items is £12+. Selling at the current prices results in a huge loss. I am therefore being forced by Amazon to sell my products at a loss, else I will receive further punishment for having products in FBA that do not sell.

I have called Amazon 25 times over the past week in the hope of getting through to a non-robotic like human, however I now realise this is impossible. All my emails are also answered with robotic template responses, which are as useless as one would expect from Amazon support.

I am now turning to this forum as a last resort before I have no choice other than to close my Amazon business.

Can someone at Amazon please help me?

No, they are only being sold on Amazon.

It might just be a terminology thing, but Amazon are not removing the Prime badge - you have Prime showing on both of those listings. What they are doing is removing the buy box - presumably because they aren’t happy with the price increase.

For B09HR68DTV where you don’t currently have the buy box, those items were being sold at £4.99 for about 2 weeks after you launched them. That would’ve set an indicative price and you’re now trying to increase the price too quickly to £8.99. Whether Amazon’s fair pricing policy is actually fair or not, you really need to increase prices gradually rather than almost doubling them in one day if you want to keep the buy box.

I have now worked out that I can sell the products for £8.59 and £8.19 respectively in order to have the Buy Box. This loses approximately £2.50 on each sale. I have left the prices like this for a week now and even if I try to increase them by 10p Amazon removes the Buy Box.

I have now lost just over £1000 in the few weeks I have been selling these products since Amazon does not allow me to sell them for a profit.

How long am I supposed to wait until I can increase my prices so I am not forced to lose money on every sale?

This seems completely absurd, how can selling on Amazon be profitable like this?

I have had my prices raised for over a week now and nothing has changed. The Prime badge is still not showing on search results due to me not having the Buy Box on a listing where I am the only seller, and I am receiving zero sales. As a result, I am now paying storage fees for non-selling stock, whilst my Performance Index score is being negatively affected due to the non-moving stock.

Am I better to just accept defeat here, cut my losses, and have the products sent back to me from Amazon, obviously at my expense?
