Guidance on Parent-Child Variations Setup
Hello,
I’m a new seller and awaiting my first shipment. I’ve created my listing with parent and child variants, but when I click the links in Seller Central, I don’t see the variants grouped on a single page with a dropdown menu (for size/color). Instead, each variant appears as a separate listing.
Since my listings are not live yet, could this be the reason the dropdown/swatch option is not showing? Or is it possible that Amazon has set them up incorrectly and they will remain as separate listings?
I’ve reviewed my setup multiple times and watched tutorials, but I’m still unsure what I might be doing wrong. Could you please advise how I can confirm that my child variants will display correctly under one parent listing once active?

It sounds like you've already created your parent and child variations, but you're not seeing the dropdown/swatch options on the detail page yet. This is likely because your listings are not yet live. Once your products are active, the variation options should appear as expected.

- Make sure you've properly configured the parent-child relationships, with the parent ASIN and the child ASINs linked correctly. TheVariation Wizard tool in Seller Central can be very helpful for setting this up.
- Ensure the variation theme you've selected (e.g. size, color) is valid for your product category. You can refer to the "Valid Values" tab in the inventory template to confirm.
- Review that all required variation attributes like Parentage, Relationship Type, etc. are populated accurately on both the parent and child listings.
