Account Suspended after Updating Charging Method Card
We are beyond frustration now.
We are an U.S. based business and our charging method card was about to expire, so we updated the expiration date and the 3-digit CVV code since everything else stayed the same.
The card was approved immediately, but 10 seconds later, our whole account was blocked with no access to anything.
“Credit Card Invalid
You must update your existing credit card information or add a new credit card to regain full access to this seller account.”
This was on September 4th, and we instantly contacted the useless Amazon Seller Support and are getting a runaround with their same useless responses every day.
Quote:”….bla bla bla blub….At this time I am working with our internal team to reach a resolution on your case.”
So, all the time we were talking (writing) to the external team??? What a joke!
Meanwhile, orders are flying in, and we are not able to fulfill them.
This will hurt our account health badly.
We worked hard to have a clean and healthy 100% account health since we would like to participate in the upcoming Seller Fulfilled Prime program, but Amazon, with its faulty and buggy system together with their incompetent and useless seller support, took this opportunity away from us.
This is another example of how Amazon and its incompetent employees do not care about its sellers.
We did nothing wrong and exactly what Amazon was asking for, but Amazon and its power-hungry employees just want to show who is in power by destroying their sellers with not helping sellers right away with important issues.
Amazon wants a good relationship with its sellers, but this is NOT the correct way.

Is it a real credit card, not a debit card?

As @Seller_JELEnXFOrnw4L notes, it must be a CREDIT card.
In addition, there have been multiple posts about issues when a new card is entered but it is NOT in the BUYER side account.
Put the card on your buyer account first, and then the seller side, wait an hour or so for the info to get through the Amazon gerbil tubes and hopefully that fixes the issue.

Amazon should fix this pretty quickly, but in the meantime put your account in Vacation Mode would be my advice!

This is definitely one of the most troubling and persistent problems Amazon sellers face. I was terrified to update this credit card last year and actually kept a card active that I had lost years ago to avoid changing it. This should not be the problem that it is.

Day 9 and still the same blobbering form the incompetent and useless external Amazon support without any solution. Meanwhile, Amazon sends us warning emails to ship the open orders. HEEELLLLLOOOO AMAZON, our account is blocked and we are not able to ship or cancel orders. Don't you get it with your buggy sysstem?

I had the same issue. However, I found out that either Amazon or my bank viewed the area my credit card was issued in to be in a different zip code, even though they were both the same city area, because one digit was off they refused to validate it. Once, I played around with the address and figured it out, I was immediately able to log back in as usual. I hope this helps.
