Applying for ASIN exemption and where do I get a model number from?
Hi,
I clicked "product that is not listed" to try get an ASIN exemption, however its still saying I need a model number? where do you get the model number from? my product is unbranded i built it myself.
I dont think im even on the right page for a GTIN exemption as all the links ive clicked to get an exemption leads to a "page not found" I think this is just a way of amazon making you pay hundreds of pounds for a barcode from GS1 when a few years ago you could buy a third party barcodes for a couple of pounds.
Attached image of whats left of the exemption page
Many Thanks,

Well if its something you manufacturered, the model number number can be whatever you want.
With regards to GTIN exemption any selling applications normally appear here. But it depends how you are trying to list. On this page are you stating the product does not have a brand name and you don't have a product ID?

yes ticking no brand name and no product ID but still asks for a product ID on product details
