FBA Label Service - Barcode replacement?
Hi all,
I initially had my listing setup as Manufacturer Barcode. I created a shipping plan but due to a change in plans, had to cancel this initial shipping plan. Now when I attempt to create a new shipping plan, I am met with several messages like “This product is ineligible to send to Amazon using a manufacturer barcode.”
I have switched over to an Amazon barcode as it seems like thats what the fix is, however as my products have already been labeled with the previous FNSKU, I now need to replace the old FNSKU with the new ones. I want to use FBA Label Service as it states its £0.15 a unit (cheaper than getting my warehouse to do it). Will the fact that I already have another FNSKU on the products cause any issues, or will Amazon will be simply able to just replace the old labels with the new ones?

If your product has an old and incorrect FNSKU label on it, then amazon will simply scan that label.
They will not relabel it for you.
To use the labelling service, it must have a correct EAN, that they can then label over.

FNSKUs don’t just change randomly, this implies that you deleted the listing and re-listed it with a different SKU…
However assuming the FNSKU you have on the product was actually linked to the correct ASIN (even if the FNSKU no longer exists) then you can try to re-acquire the same FNSKU via a bit of a bizarre method:
- Create a shipping plan for the new SKU
- send in the items with the old FNSKUs on them.
- wait for amazon to book them in under an “unexpected item” SKU
- create a listing for the “unexpected item” SKU, this should automatically be linked up to the original FNSKU and ASIN.
- delete the “new” FNSKU so that only the one printed on the product remains, this prevents you getting confused later.

Try going to add a product, select “not already listed on amazon”, under product identifier select ASIN and enter the one you have. Once you enter a few other details it should ask you if your product is xyz that already exists in the catalogue, select “yes this is my product”.
complete the listing as normal and once you confirm it should have linked up to the old ASIN.
Not as it stood, however now that you have deleted the old listing it would still work as mentioned before. But it’s best to try other methods first as they’re likely faster fixes.
