Are canceled orders items added back to Inventory ?
When a buyer cancels the order while it is in transit, does amazon add the returned item back to FBA inventory ?

This is Sakura from Amazon. Welcome to the Seller Forums.
As per the Buyer's Help Page regarding order cancellation:
"To cancel orders that are already shipped:
Go to 'Your Orders'
Select the 'Request Cancellation' option and proceed
The items will be returned to Amazon for a refund (if the payment is already made)"
