REACH compliance

Hi All

I received a restricted product violation on my children’s product under toys and games category regarding REACH compliance. I had submitted my SDS to Amazon in November and received written confirmation that I am REACH compliant and their system has been updated.

My shipment then got delivered in december and amazon sent out a violation email. I have been back and forth with them on caselogs and provided evidence of being compliant but they reply saying after careful review of your case, we have determined that your listing does not meet the criteria for re-instatement. They then make reference to REACH articles which I have read.

When I ask what the exact issue is so I can work on it, I receive the same above message.
I spoke to agents on the phone who agreed with me that I was compliant after reviewing the case logs from november till date. However these agents advised that it was a different department that was dealing with this and they cannot be reached by phone.

I have now gone in to recall all my units which were initially 168 that were delivered, however what I can see now is 134. None of them have sold as my listing was de-activated by amazon as soon as they got there.

Has anyone experienced something similar and can help?
If I know what I need to do to get the listing re-instated it would be easier to work on it but they are not providing any information

Thanks all

Hello @Connecticube,

Thank you for writing to us. This is Danii from Amazon.

There are certain policies that Amazon expects its sellers to follow while operating on the platform, Restricted Products Policy is one among the many policies.
For your appeal to be accepted, you will need to identify the root causes of the issue, describe the steps you have taken to correct it and the preventive steps that you will be implementing to ensure this doesn’t occur again.
Request you to provide the requested document as per the notification that you received on the day of your listing removal due to violation of REACH Regulations.

To better understand this policy, we would recommend that you can also visit our help pages in Seller central and browse through the restricted product policy page.
This page contains the definition along with category wise examples that are considered to be restricted items on the platform.
As items are categorized into restricted category based on the marketplace and Amazon’s individual policy governing that marketplace, it is also advisable to check external sites to better understand what products are not allowed in the marketplace you are operating.

For further details on the policy please visit: https://www.sellercentral.amazon.dev/help/hub/reference/G201743940?mons_redirect=stck_reroute

Hope this was helpful.

Regards,
Danii
