Amazon OTP not arriving

I’m having a problem with Amazon Verifications Codes not being delivered to my iPhone. I have spoken to customer service who’s only solution was to fill in the form and send off ID for verification, which I only want to do as a last resort. The phone number is 100% correct. I’ve checked all my iphone settings and the number isn’t blocked… any suggestions

Do you have the phone number shown in international format, eg +441234567890? That appears to be the way Amazon keep them on their records, obviously because they could call you from almost any country
