International Sales from UK - please help! (buy shipping cost is CRAZY)

Hello.

We've just decided to start selling internationally from the UK. We sell mostly large letter items.

However, our first sale on Amazon buy shipping is not showing international royal mail postage options (only DHL) and it costs £20! if we use Royal Mail as a large letter it should be around £3ish, but it's not showing as an option.

Does this mean I have to use Click & Drop instead for international or not at all?

Also, does anyone know if international standard large letters are ok for VTR?

This is not going well :( might have to stick to UK only... would be a real shame as I just paid out for regulation compliance.

Please can anyone help?

Would be nice to only have international orders go to Click & Drop if this is the solution, but not sure if that's possible. Would take forever to manually input everything.

Yes, your best option is to buy from RM.site. When you confirm shipment you simply need to select the method, input standard economy, or whatever service you use, and in the tracking box input the number on the label WITHOUT spaces and hyphens.

I send the few international orders I get through Amazon by RM through C&D or DPD which is proving to be cheaper than RM for parcels to a number of destination.

My postage prices allow for Tracked which is fine for VTR.

Don't know how compliant Standard would be as it's not tracked and doesn't get any verifiable scans.

Hello @Seller_Nx3Da5XPngGEm,

To use Royal Mail for international shipping via Buy Shipping:

  • Go to Buy Shipping preferences
  • Click “Manage your carrier accounts”
  • Enter your Royal Mail account details
  • Submit and wait 1–2 days for activation

For VTR: International standard large letters are exempt from VTR if they're under £20/€20. If over that amount, you'll need to use a tracked service to meet VTR requirements.

Until your Royal Mail account is linked, you can use Click & Drop, but it's manual. For a more integrated solution, focus on getting your Royal Mail account linked in Buy Shipping.

Not seller support. They don't understand VTR.

We ship products using the DG4 International Mail Large Letter service that have an order value of under €20.

I can see from the valid tracking reports from our EU marketplaces that they are showing as without valid tracking.

Do you know how we can get products shipped with this large letter service to show as valid on the valid tracking report?
