Trying to get amazon to change Title of a product
We have been trying to get amazon to change a load of product Titles that have had the brand updated to something that is not right. however after opening around 20 cases today for differnt ASAINS they are coming back that a title should have the following in the right order as its now amazon guidelines
[Brand] + [Sub-Brand] + [Model Number] + [Size] + [Product Description] + [Defining Features]
So they are wanting all the product description and the features all in the main title. This is what makes the catalogue such a mess, and also wont change the already wrong title as the brand has been changed
anyone managed to get round this?

Amazon is automatically putting the product’s brand into the title. If you believe that the brand is incorrect, you will need to chnage it in order to have it removed from the title.
If you don’t have the listing control, the only way how to make Amazon accept your changes is to open a case with the Seller Support under “Products and Inventory” - “Product page issue” and “Fix a product page”.
You will be asked to provide some proof supporting your desired updates, such as a link to the manufacturer’s website.

All that to fit in, with reduced title lengths to take into account. It’s not easy!
Good luck

I’ve done loads of title changes successfully, despite having the same initial reply as you. Their response isn’t actually saying it has to have all of those elements, because not all items do, but where available that’s the correct format. Other emails you get might even have different suggestions such as size and colour.
What I usually do is write that I have amended the listing as per Amazon’s style guidines to include…then insert the bits you’ve included. Eg Brand + MPN + Product description + size
If that doesn’t work (it usually does but not always) I then reply that I have changed the title EXACTLY as per the guidelines, show my title again and then break it doe for them as follows:
xxxx = brand
yyy = mpn
zzz = product
ppp = colour
That usually works when all else has failed.
Should add that you always have to link it to proof such as the manufacturer’s website, or a photo of the product showing the brand and the barcode.

Since getting Brand Registry … Amazon randomly insert our brand name at the beginning of the listing title on some listings. Not all, just some. It’s really annoying as it also puts it on the product label for FBA. When you have a few similarly named products, especially variations it’s a right PITA.
We recently started selling on .com and .ca and the same thing is happening on a few items despite NOT having Brand Registry in the USA yet. I wouldn’t mind so much if they stuck the brand at the end of the title rather than the beginning.

I think i have broke dead lock on a few of them by being persistent, i think it again just depends who you get on the other end
