Brand Registry enrollment application has been rejected.
Hi!
My appeal (ID:17709607381) for Brand Registry enrollment application has been rejected. My registered business name and business identifier have not been verified.
I have my own manufacturing set-up, which manufactures all the products under my brand. I have submitted the trademark application to the USPTO, and I have provided its serial number. I have a professional account with verified business information on Amazon Seller Central.
The dispute was opened, but I keep receiving general replies with the links to the different guides, nothing specific, and I still have no idea what steps to take. I need to know what to do to have my business details verified. I've studied all the guides. My background meets all the criteria.
I assume the reason is that my tax ID is issued in Ukraine. Recently, I faced a problem where the system could not detect the Ukrainian postcode, and I could not confirm my business address. In the end, I attached my utility bills, and the support team confirmed my address. I believe there are similar methods in this case.
I've got a message "As a precautionary measure, access to your application will be locked for 90 days as you have failed multiple attempts at verifying your business". But I'm sure my application was rejected automatically because it took a few seconds from the time I submitted it. My documents have not been reviewed.
Dear Amazon team, could you be more specific about which qualifier the application failed? What exactly does not match? What other methods of business verification are available to me? I am willing to provide the necessary evidence. What do I need to do to confirm my business identifiers?

Hello @Seller_Dva56FL7AFZP0,
Dougal from the Community Manager Team here and thanks for including your appeal case ID. I have reached out to the partner team as I think I have identified the issue here.
First, It is important that we distinguish the difference between Business Verification in Seller Central and the Business Verification process as part of enrolling a brand in Amazon Brand Registry. Despite the same naming convention, the business verification process when enrolling a brand is to determine that the entity filing the Brand Registry Application is also the owner of the Trademark.
For your application, I think you may have just clicked the wrong box for the entity that owns the TM when building your application. It might be easier to understand what I am talking about if you go to your Trademark on the USPTO website and click on the "Current Owner(s) Information," dropdown section and look at the "Legal Entity Type," entry. It currently shows that a business does not own the Trademark.
As mentioned, I reached out to the partner team to see what the best way forward is: reject the current application so you can reapply or, if there is currently sufficient enough evidence that you own the TM to progress your application to the next step.
I will provide an update here as soon as I have a response from that team.
Best, Dougal
