Price Discount potential funding, do you only pay if all units sell?

Hi

When setting up a price discount there is a column called Potential Funding.

It is defined as: "The total amount of funding, in local currency, you would provide if the ASIN sold through all of its committed units. Potential funding is calculated by multiplying the Funding per unit and Committed units for the ASIN."

Does that mean if in a given time I do not sell all my inventory, then I pay nothing?

Regards

B

Hello @Seller_nRPk8nm6cSmkQ,

I'm Sarah with Amazon.

According to this help page, "Potential Funding" represents the total value of all discounts. For example lets say you have a £10 product and you want to give a 1 Dollar discount and you want to commit £100 units to this discount the "Potential Funding" is £100 .

Potential Funding doesn't represent a fee, but the total "value" of discounts you are offering to your customers.

In any case, I invite other sellers who have experience with price discounts to share their insights related to Price Discounts dashboard usage.

Kind regards,

Sarah.
