02039420000 - is this Amazon's phone number?
Hi there,
Today I have had a phone call from 02039420000 and they said that they are from Amazon, but were asking strange questions so I am not sure.
Seller Support answer is shocking:
“I apologize as we do not have the option to verify the number as we have limited access to it.”
Does anyone know if was it genuinely Amazon or not?

Google suggests it likely is Amazon, but take all the usual precautions.

Apparently it was amazon and wanted me to confirm my Amazon log in details details with them. Told them no due to security and to email.
This was to the emergency account number on our account but turned out they wanted to tell me about a new feature.
Strange a a few weeks ago had a couple calls from English centre to talk about both FBA and small and light. To our standard landline.

I had a call a few weeks ago,I was a bit dubious and so the guy i was speaking to sent a message to my performance notifications wit h his name when i told them i didn’t want to speak to them in case it was a scam

Be aware it is easy for a caller to ‘fake’ the number they are calling from. This does seem a legitimate number for Amazon it is an office number in London but it could easily be a scam.
What where they calling about or was it just a serious of questions? What number did they call you on was it the customer service number visible on your Amazon profile or was it the emergency notification number you provided?
you would think they would be able to tell you if someone had tried to call you and the reason why!!

just had another phone call to landline today - one of my staff intercepted, again wanted me to verify security details before they would discuss…your range me.!
we refused and told to message through seller centreal

I also got a call from 01501820526 claiming that she is from Amazon and asking if I have placed a order and I have to cancel if I did not. Caller was asking me to give your card details to cancel this order ASAP. I did not give any details.
Be careful from these call.
