I want to promote my hand made products....

I have been listing my hand made products on Amazon for a year now. They sell well on eBay.

In this year I have not sold one item on Amazon :-( The Stats show zero views on all products.

But similar (but inferior -- my opinion :-) products seem to be selling in the hundreds.

When I look at promoting an item, the cost seems much higher than any expected sales profit.

For hand made items (sometimes one-off), has anyone found a way to promote on Amazon?

Thank you for starting this thread, @Seller_ShKc3M4FFlzU1! I came across this post and wanted to share a couple recommendations that I think could help you promote your products on Amazon.

First, you'll want to make sure your listings are properly optimized in order to ensure they're discoverable. I'd recommend focusing on:

  • Product Titles: Keep them clear and concise (80 characters or less). Include "Handmade" or "Handcrafted" to highlight uniqueness. Avoid keyword stuffing - it actually hurts visibility.
  • Keywords: Add relevant search terms in the Keywords tab. Use synonyms and terms customers would actually search for (e.g., if selling jewelry, include "handmade jewelry," "artisan jewelry," etc.).
  • Bullet Points: Add 4-5 bullet points highlighting key features, materials, dimensions, and benefits. These help both customers and Amazon's search algorithm understand your products.
  • Images: Use high-resolution images with the main image on a white background and lifestyle images as alternatives. Quality images significantly impact discoverability.
  • Maker Profile: Complete your Maker Profile fully. Amazon's team uses this when featuring products in campaigns, and it helps customers connect with your story.

Additionally, here are some Amazon tools and strategies that can help grow your business:

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

All the best,

Jameson
