Can I sell a Private Label brand on an already created listing?
I’ve found the exact same product from a wholesaler for a well-known brand. There is absolutely no difference in packaging or item

The brand and the EAN on the product that you are buying should match the listing on Amazon exactly.
By the sound of it you have found the product the wholesaler is selling but it has been rebranded by another seller so the brand does not match the one on the packaging. In this case you can’t list against the item as you are likely to get an IP violation.
Often the PL (incorrect brand) ASIN’s look attractive as they have a higher price point and more profit than the correct ASIN. This is because only one seller normally sells on the ASIN and they sell the product at a higher price. If you list against it they will probably not like it and kick you off the listing.

As a test I would try initially to add your offer to the listing (set stock to 0 for now so you do not get sales).
If it requires a LoA then Amazon now seem to ask for this straight away. You can then get the LoA and you will probably be OK. If no LoA is asked for you will also probably be OK. If LoA is required and you are unable to get it then just delete your offer.

i did it once with a generic item and eventually i got a message asking us to remove it or they would push it to amazon and have it removed. lesson learnt, I wouldnt recomend trying it.
