Read onlySome people say that if you buy from Amazon or Walmart you can sell on Amazon marketplace and amazon accepts invoices but only if the seller is Amazon. Everyone says different. Do you have any experience with that?
iF YOU ARE SELLING AS USED (WHICH THEY ARE AS NOT BOUGHT FROM A WHOLESALER FOR RESALE) you mioght get away with it. If you try to sell them as new then you will probably sell ok for a few weeks then you will have a mysterious non genuine infraction all your funds will be held until you provide a genuine invice which of course you cant.
Annecdotally - posters on this forum have done exactly that (buy from amazon or walmart) and have sold on amazon uk (does not really matter the method, be it FBA or FBM) and amazon simply will not accept the invoices as showing a valid supply chain.
Some may get away with it of course - but it is a risk. Only you can really decide if its one worth taking.
It is of course generally speaking the case we would only ever hear of cases where it has gone wrong. People only post on cases like this where it goes wrong.
I've seen people who claim Amazon UK have accepted Amazon.com invoices and allowed them to keep selling and I've seen people complaining their Amazon.com invoices have not been accepted, their funds witheld and their stock destroyed. If those claiming their invoices were accepted are telling the truth then it does appear Amazon has very inconsistent rules.
There are lies, dam lies and the internet (used to be statistics, but the internet is far worse). It seems the level of expertise of social media posters is inversely proportional to their knowledge. Seller university is the only real source of facts. Even this forum, whilst very informative, has different experiences and opinions, you just have to take a balanced view. As others have said, what you suggest has big risks and there are hugely better business models.
influenzas are spreading like a virus.
I know that's the wrong dam, but the correct spelling was deemed inappropriate, so I had to remove the "n". I think it's a good thing that these things are not allowed.
That wouldn't surprise me in the least, it's enough to look at A-Z claims to see inconsistency in action.
In simple terms, purchasing products from Amazon to resell on Amazon is against policy and not allowed. This practice is considered a violation of Amazon's resale guidelines and can lead to consequences such as account suspension or funds being held until a genuine invoice is provided.
It's like busking or selling goods in a busy square with no license. You might get caught immediately or get away with it for a while, even a long while, but there is always the chance that the authorities spot you, fine you and seize your instruments or goods.
amazon uk buy from us and resell our goods on amazon so why woul dit be any different for sellers?
Far more elloquently put.
I assume amazon do the due diligence of course on the supply chain of who they are buying from (and of course it is possibly why they do this due diligence in the first place)
