On Time Delivery Rate Drop

Recently my On-Time Delivery Rate has dropped to 75.37%. This has never happened to my business having traded on Amazon for over 10 years.

I recently changed my order cut off time to 7am i can't imagine this would impact the drop or has it?

I've also changed my handling time to 2 days since i was notified of the drop to give the courier more time to make the deliveries.

It appears the drop has also put a hold on my fund withdrawals to my bank account?

It may have. Previously if you were shipping orders placed between your old and new cut off time ahead of what Amazon expected, then those orders would have had the extra day to arrive. Depending on how many units that is, that could make a difference.

Those two things shouldn't be connected. It sounds like you've recently been switched to DD+7 for payments. Indirectly that will mean your funds are on hold, but only in that the funds for the orders that are delivered late will take longer to be available.

For OTDR, bear in mind that if you sell fewer than 20 units across the 14 day period, you're excused from the need to maintain your OTDR. That said, a late OTDR can still cause buy box issues or delivery padding.

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear about the drop in your On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR). I can understand how concerning this can be, especially when you make changes and it negatively impacts your metrics. I am more than happy to assist and provide clarification.

Changing your order cut-off time to 7am could have contributed to the drop. For example, orders that previously came in before your old cut-off time were being shipped the same day (giving them an extra day of transit), moving that cut-off earlier may mean those orders now fall into the next business day for handling. This effectively shortens the delivery window, which can result in more units being marked as delivered late against the "Deliver by" date.

To protect your On-Time Delivery Rate, I suggest taking the following steps within your shipping settings, if you have not already implemented them:

  1. Enable Shipping Settings Automation (SSA) as this automatically calculates transit times based on your preferred shipping services, helping set more accurate delivery dates.
  2. Activate Automated Handling Time as this adjusts handling time per SKU based on your actual historical hand-off times to carriers.
  3. Purchase shipping labels marked as "On-time delivery rate Protected" to gain OTDR protection on eligible shipments.

In regards to your funds, a low OTDR does not directly place a hold on your funds. However, if your account was recently moved to a DD+7 payment schedule, funds for orders delivered late will take longer to become available.

Additionally, I encourage you to review the On-Time Delivery Rate I have linked above for additional information.

I hope this has been beneficial in clarifying how your OTDR is measured and what you can do to improve it.

The seller forums community and I are here to help you remain successful on the platform.

All the best,

Casey

I've changed my handling time to 2 days and have turned off SSA. Automated handling is also turned off. my delivery time including handling is now 6 days I'm hoping this will resolve the OTDR?I've been on DD+7 for some time now. Is there a way to turn this off so i can get quicker disbursements to my bank account?kind regardsjohn.
