Are photos of the item, before, during and after packaging (with the postage label attached) enough? eg if I take pics of the item with it's serial number, a photo of the whole box (inc the item inside it) and then show it partially packed where you can see the barcode of the item partially packed, then fully packed with the label attached. Would this be enough? or does it have to be a full video?
The reason i'm asking is because IF I receive an item back from a customer and I take photos of the package, then some photos of it halfway opened, opened and finally the item inside which then has a different serial number, would amazon accept this as evidence the customer returned something materially different?
Also, how would one go about communicating with amazon about this? filing asafe-t claim for example, ive never done it, is it enough? do they reject you repeatedly and you're forced to write to the managing director, ombudsman etc?
On the other big platform, this has happened many times before. I didnt even need to take photos of the item being packed with the label attached. I only needed to have the photos on the listing and then photos of the return being different. I'd then report the crime online, attach the crime number and send it in my appeal. It has always been accepted. I was told 'we are INSURED as long as you have a crime reference number'.
