Mad policies at Amazon.

by Seller_p27bs0l5E6QqD

I have entered a 1972 rare Penguin Classic at £5.25( 1 is acceptable at circa£1.90 ,another good at £5.00) Mine is vg and Amazon suggest a price of about £1.90 to approx £2.30.This is ridiculous. It Will cost £2.10 to post so I would lose heavily on this. What are Amazon doing? I know people suggest that Amazon want us to match EBay but it’s impossible to price a book so low.More madness and the day approaches when a decent charity will get some very good and rare books.

As a fellow bookseller I have this all the time - basically they do not understand the market for rare books. The only way round it is to list as collectible, but then it will unlikely not be found by buyers as they don't check the collectible category !
