Ideas for relabelling incorrectly labelled FBA inventory

Hi all,

We have sent in some FBA inventory which appears to have been labelled with the incorrect FNSKU label by our supplier. Amazon are currently in the process of receiving the incorrectly labelled inventory. We don’t know how many units have been incorrectly labelled but it is likely to be between 1000 - 1500 units. Amazon have currently receipted in some of the items so they are available for buyers to purchase (which we don’t want) but most are still showing reserved. My questions are;

  1. Is there a way to get Amazon to temporarily suppress the product listing for the particular ASIN that’s been mis-labelled so customers can’t purchase the item while we get this sorted out. We don’t want to “close” or “delete” the listing.

  2. I know that Amazon offer an FBA labelling service. Does anyone know if they will re-label inventory that’s been sent in to the FC with incorrect labels. If so what is the process to get the items re-labelled?

  3. We could create a removal order, get them removed somewhere and pay someone to re-label them (any volunteers lol!) but this would take time and also as Amazon have only part received the inventory (most still sitting in “reserved” status) we cannot remove all of the inventory yet…which means they continue to be available for sale (which we don’t want).

Any suggestions or advice very welcome.

Thanks
Lewis

another thought, OP; if they do offer the re-label service in-house, you will need to make sure the EAN on the box is correct/match the listing EAN, as you do not that get labelled wrong again!
