Dispute Regarding Unscannable Barcodes on Shipment (FBA189DQGV0Y)
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss an issue regarding my recent shipment (FBA189DQGV0Y) that was sent to Amazon last month. After shipping, all of my inventory was cleared and successfully transferred to different Amazon warehouses, and it became available for sale without any problems.
However, I recently received an email stating that some of my units have unscannable barcodes. Given that I labeled my inventory according to Amazon’s guidelines, I believe this may be an error.
I have already opened a dispute and requested further information regarding this issue (details or clarification, particularly regarding the specific units affected and any accompanying images of the unscannable barcodes).

Greetings,
Thanks for raising this issue here on the forums. First thing I want to cover are general best practices to avoid unscannable barcodes (realizing you likely already followed these, but for anyone else reading):
Placement
- Cover any original barcodes. Make sure that labels lie flat.
- On a cylindrical product, place labels vertically.
- Maintain clear margins around the edge of the barcode.
- If the product has prep, make sure that the barcode is scannable or applied outside of the prep.
Quality
- We recommend using a laser or thermal printer and cleaning your printer frequently.
- Review each batch of labels and don't use labels that are damaged or unscannable.
Format
- Use the right label size and format.
- Use black ink on a white background.
- Avoid reflective packaging or prep over barcodes.
Do you have the case number for the dispute you opened? I would like to review the details and determine if there are options to escalate. I look forward to hearing from you!
