Am I the Manufacturer on my Listing or is my partner in China?

Hi, I am starting a new Brand but haven't yet filed my Trademark so I've created my listing as Generic. When listing the Manufacturer, should I list my Brand / company name? Or should I use the name of my manufacturer in China?

You CAN create a branded listing using your future brand, you don't need to create it as "Generic". If you create it NOW as generic you will have to create ANOTHER listing as soon as you will sell it as brand with the consequence to loose ratings and reviews.

Yes, YOU are the manufacturer if this is your private label = your brand. Buy UPCs from GS1 and list it normally, not as "Generic".

Hello there, my name is CR and wanted to hop in here quickly. I see that this is one of your first few posts here on the forums - welcome!

You have already received some great information above from fellow community member, @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC- Thank you!

I wanted to see if you still had any additional questions here, but the guidance provided above will ensure that you do not need to create a new ASIN down the line after your brand is setup through Brand Registry.

If you have any other questions here, please do let us know!
