How to disable Returnless Returns
So I’m trying to find the settings for auto returns, in an ideal world I want to manually do returns for each item.
So I had one return before that was legitimate one where I was able to pick if I want to issue a refund or whatever which is what I want.
The more recent return was an item for nearly £100 for an ink cartridge, they used the reason for sending back was “Description on website was not accurate” and the reason was “Expiry date on the product to close” they have been refunded and get to keep the item. So amazon in turn has just accepted the return without actually checking the expiry date as theres no real proof, so how do i stop the Returnless Refund from happening again? I’ve also stated on my shipping instructions that any ink cartridges opened cannot be refunded and yet amazon can overwrite this?
Can anyone help please?
Just to clarify, we’re not using the FBA platform.

Are you SFP ?
If so, amazon deal with returns and issue returnless returns as they choose. You’d need to open a safe t claim for them

This is not an ideal world, returns are automated, either Amazon will issue a refund or a returns label depending on your settings.
To turn off returnless refunds and instead opt for a tracked return label to be generated on your behalf go to Orders - Manage returns - returns settings - resolutions and turn off returnless refunds.
Note that the returns label will only cover you for £20, and you will be lucky to get anything if the parcel is lost in transit, the customer is refunded when the label has its first scan (basically when they drop it off at the dropoff point).
You can exempt anything with a value over £100 but everything under that is automated

Check the return - as you’ve referred to returnless refunds (which are setup as an option by the seller). Has in fact a refund at first scan taken place.
Check the return in Manage Returns - and what does it say on View More Details - Resolution?

Another idea may be - ReturnlessRefund is a terminology amazon apply in the event of just refunding without the customer requiring to return, even if ReturnlessRefund isn’t setup by the customer.
Has an a - z been opened on the order?
Or do any of the rules under Instant Customer Refunds apply from this page?

4 days ago a customer purchased a T Shirt, size medium, today I get a returnless refund because she said she wanted a XL and ordered M by mistake. How can this be right?
