Food packing requirements for FBA shipment
Hello,
I am selling energy bars. All my products are registered in GS1, so each energy bar has an EAN code on it. However, I do not sell them by one, I sell them by packages of 10 units, so I created ASINs for the packages, not for single units. My question is, do I need to put ASIN codes on each unit (energy bar) when I ship to FBA? Or do I only need to put required labels on the packages of 10 and keep the EAN codes for each unit (energy bar) in the package? I have an argument, one person is trying to convince me, that I need to put ASIN codes on each energy bar, otherwise I will be charged additionally. Can someone from Amazon explain me, what labels do I need to put on the packages before I send them to Amazon FBA? To sum up, I have EAN codes for each unit (energy bar), but I sell in packages of 10 (I don't have EAN codes for package of 10).

Hello @Seller_lEmHHVGWeqEcY,
I'd suggest to follow the instructions from this page about Product packaging requirements:
"Units that are sets or bundles must be clearly identified as such with an easily legible label: Add a label to the unit that clearly states that the products are to be received and sold as a single unit. For example, "Sold as set," "Ready to ship," or "This is a set. Do not separate.""
I hope this helps!
Best,
Emma

You either have to label each individual energy bar with the EAN code or have it labelled by Amazon for a fee. With an EAN code on the pack of 10, Amazon books this as one item, i.e. your customers pay for one bar and receive 10.
Furthermore, Amazon does not unpack your packs of 10, you have to send them individually in a (larger) outer packaging to Amazon or send the packs of 10 as individual shipments (expensive) to Amazon.
Make sure you familiarise yourself with the requirements for FBA products!
