Refund Postage / return label
Hi There, I have my first request for a refund which I have authorised as the buyer has stated it is faulty. They have now messaged asking for a “Return Label” . After a quick search Amazon stated that "When you approve a buyer’s return request, Amazon sends the buyer a return label with an address. By default, the return label is not prepaid. However, you can upload a custom pre-paid return label if you choose to pay for return shipping. " - does this mean that I do not have to pay return cost if I choose to? Or, as it is faulty am I required to do this? I have never had an item returned before so unsure of right action to take. Thanks

If the reason for the return is a faulty item, then you are obliged to pay for the return.
You can either do this, by paying the customer to do so, but frankly most won’t accept this, or to provide a prepaid label.
It’s generally better anyway to provide the label as the customer will use whatever service they think is ok and will usually end up costing you more.
So get a label from RM etc and just send it to the customer.
