Regarding UNSPECIFID Rejection in Identity Verification Amazon UK & Account deactivated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Sellers,
I’m seeking guidance regarding an ongoing Amazon UK account verification issue and would appreciate any insights from the community.
I am an India-based seller with a legally registered business (Saanj Kreative Media & Consultancy) and valid documentation to sell on Amazon UK. During the initial registration, I made a typing error in my business name. Instead of correcting it properly, I mistakenly submitted documents aligned with the incorrect name, which led to my account being deactivated.
After multiple appeals and acknowledgements, I was given another opportunity to complete verification. This time, I carefully corrected all details and submitted documents strictly as per Amazon’s requirements, including:
* Passport (identity proof)
* Bank statement in the business name
* Tax registration certificate (India)
* Utility bill (address proof)
I have also applied for UK VAT registration with HMRC, and the application is currently under review (acknowledgement available).
Additionally, my Amazon US account has already been successfully verified using valid documentation, which makes this situation more confusing.
When the KYC process was retriggered, I was initially informed that verification could take 10–15 business days. However, within 24 hours, the verification was marked as failed and my account was deactivated again without any specific reason or clear explanation. In some communications, I was informed that verification failed, while in others, I was told the case is still under internal review. I know creating multiple cases can make the process delay but as amazon does not respond, one must have to take the next step.
At this point:
* My bank account has been successfully verified
* Amazon Payments (KYC) verification remains incomplete
* I am not being given a clear reason for rejection or an option to resubmit
I fully acknowledge my initial mistake and have since ensured that all submitted information is accurate, consistent, and verifiable through official sources.
I would like to understand:
* What could be causing repeated verification failure despite correct documentation?
* How can I request a proper re-evaluation or resubmission opportunity?
* What is the best way to escalate this issue effectively?
If any amazon person or seller can provide guidance on the next steps, I would greatly appreciate your support.
Thank you.

you need to have the Vat number not be in just in an application process- Amazon will be checking on the VIES database and if your VATv application isn’t approved and finalised then the system will automatically be failing you.
Seller_yn9k2WJn73ilO
it only applicable when 3 months are passed, and my account is under threshold.

As a non uk resident there is no threshold applicable for you. Check out NEPT. Without Vat being approved you wont pass verification. Non uk residents are l;egally required to be already VAT registered.
Check it put with yur accountant

After opening the account, I had got a mail from amazon that states that I have 90 days to add VAT, I am referring to this threshold.
And currently the age of account is under this threshold.

You wont get verified until Vat number is added - they have given you 90 days - yes- but they wont verify until this is added. Allowing you 90 days doesnt mean they verify you without the Vat number!
