Read onlyI’ve just started to notice that some offer listing forms for BMVD media products are now asking me to enter ‘List Price with Tax for Display’. I know this is related to (or the same as) Recommended Retail Price (RRP). But for a used item, what on earth am I supposed to enter in the offer form? So far I’ve been entering £19.99 every time, it’s just a figure plucked out of the air. I guess it’s better to have a high RRP, so the used offer is often listed at a big discount to the RRP. What are other sellers doing in this situation?
I too would like to know just what price amounts to put in this slot for used home-media products.
How the hell are us simple small sellers supposed to know this kind of junk that Amazon keep dumping into their system.
Finally, there is some clear guidance from Amazon on this subject. Enter zero (0.00) for the List Price if you’re not sure what figure to use, as per email received today:
At Amazon, we strive to improve customer experience by providing accurate and complete pricing and discount information. In this vein, we are updating the “List Price” or the “RRP” attribute required in the “Add a Product” tool on Seller Central for this list of “product_types”: https://mass-mail-files.s3.amazonaws.com/Product_Types.csv.
You are receiving this email because you have previously added selection in these product types.
If you do not have a ready-to-provide "List Price", a possible value could be the first price at which you have offered or will be offering the product. You can also provide a value of 0 to indicate you do not have a "List Price".
To create the ASIN while not adding an offer, you can set up your ASIN via Excel templates, or select "Skip Offer".
