SAFE-T Claim Help
Hi All,
I have had a few customers return the items to us recently which have been washed and not in original condition. However, Amazon has automatically refunded them while the return package has been scanned.
I have then opened a Safe-T claim against them, however, they have only refunded me the restocking fee which is only 24% from the item cost.
May I know have you all experienced this issue before? As this is totally unacceptable, we need to accept the return which is not in original condition and not resalable.
Please advise.

When you say 24% of the item cost, do you mean the value of the order, or how much the item cost you, from your supplier? As amazon generally will calculate/estimate the item cost, they don’t refund the full value of the order.

Ok, it is 24% of the value of the order (60% cost from my supplier). Just wonder why Amazon can force sellers to accept this kind of practice where other retail shops will accept and refund most items within 30 days of purchase, provided it has not been damaged, soiled, washed, altered or worn.

It happened to us. We sent photo’s as evidence and went back and forth through seller help. Amazon SAFE-T claim response even said they stick by their decision and may not reply to any further emails. So we provided more proof and they basically ghosted us. It is dreadful practice and the worst thing is it appears there’s not a lot we can do about it.
