Problem with variation images

My variation have suddenly stopped being linked to there corresponding images.
Eg red, blue, green colour variants when clicked are all opening black image rather than the matching colour image. How do I fix this?

Many thanks

Have you put the corresponding colour image as the main image of each Child Listing Image?

What variation theme is selected in the parent listing?

Hello @Highgate_Goods just wondered if you were able to resolve this issue? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

We are facing a similar issue with all variations suddenly showing the black product pictures and the system is not restoring the correct images despite multiple upload attempts.

Many thanks!

Having the same problem.

First Seller Support said “for certain category our internal system will select the images randomly based on the quality of the image and display it for all the ASIN under that variation as per the system logic and there is no manual intervention to make changes because it is automatic”.

Then they said that the pictures had been updated on their end, but this wasn’t true.

And then they claimed that “as the ASINs are in variation there will be one best selling ASIN whose images will display on the detail page. We will not be able to update it as the system is designed in such a way and the ASIN will be automatically selected by the system.”

What an absolute headache.

Hi, did anyone manage to solve this issue at your end?

Hi All,

We have found a work around…

*First you want to delete the parent ASIN, so that all the children ASIN’s become orphaned.
*Next you need to leave for around 12 hours until all the images on the children ASIN’s revert to the correct versions.
*Lastly you need to make the parent ASIN active again and re-join the children.

Hope this helps

@Highgate_Goods have you checked the solution? @Journey_Further are you 100% certain that this will work? Does this work for you?

I can confirm that we have tried this method and it worked :sunglasses:
