Is there a way to change transit time?

I received the delivery promise gap email others have discussed. I sell only custom products so my handling time is set to 4 days, but is there any way for me to change the transit time? I can certainly see Amazons point that its more attractive if the date promised for delivery is not 2 weeks out, but it looks like all that is handled by Amazon and I can’t see a way to change it. 8 to 10 day disparity seems severe.Screenshot%202022-11-14%20121950

Be very cautious in believing any suggestions from Amazon. That said, you could trim your handling time…if you think it is wise. You can adjust your shipping template for transit times.

If you make any changes and fail, you will take metrics hit.

You appear to have over a year’s experience selling on Amazon. Trust your own data.

Do you need 4 days for some SKUs but not others, you can set it by SKU. Worried about too many orders, there is a setting for that situation that once reached adds a day of handling.

Thanks everyone for the info. I finally did find where to change transit time but it was too coarse; I think it was a choice between 1-3 days or 4-7 days or something like that (can’t put in your own somewhere in between). I changed it to let Amazon automatically set it, see how that works out. Thanks again.

I agree with Jws and Sawle. Definitely better to over deliver even if you lose a small unknown percentage of sales. Late Christmas deliveries are a surefire way upset a customer and get terrible feedback (regardless of the circumstances).

Another option would be to offer expedited shipping. Your listings I believe would show “get as soon as…” and you might win some sales that way. Honestly we have never gotten an expedited shipping sale for us here, but mostly because many things we sell, overnight or 2day shipping costs quite a bit more than what people are willing to pay.

Personally I see this as a way to reduce your shipping options to more expensive shipping options.
