IP complaint

Hi Sellers

So i have received a complaint from a brand. Counterfeit without testing. I have provided the invoice which contain my name , email address and address, distributor name, email address and address. However I keep receiving the same email again and again saying i haven’t provided sufficient evidence. So i managed to speak to an agent who advised that i should submit an invoice which also contain the website of the distributor and phone number. I have requested this from the distributor, however it can take a few days (it has been 4 days already and i have chased it up via live chat). I have no concern about the authenticity of the items as they are from a very well known distributor. However I am concerned about not receiving the invoice with the requested details or not receiving it in good time. What are your thoughts on this.

Also how is having a website or a phone number on an invoice going to prove anything? Shouldn’t it be upto the complainer to purchase the product and test if they are that concern? I am getting increasingly baffled by some rules here.

Because Amazon will check with them that they authorise you to sell

Did you double check that the EAN and brand on your product match that on the listing ? Or did you just match by the images ?

Did youbalso check with your supplier that you can actually list on amazon ?
Not all suppliers allow it

To be fair to whichever brand it is.
Just because your able to buy this item from a distributor etc, does not necessarily mean that the brand allows others to sell on Amazon.
There are a lot of companies now, that specifically exclude selling on Amazon.
And if they are one of those, then they will know whether or not you have purchased direct from them and whether they have given you permission to sell on Amazon.
So they don’t need to purchase something, to know that you shouldn’t be selling it, even if it is not a fake product.

I would as about just double check that the brand has not put a block on items being listed on amazon.
For example the like of Yankee candle, The North Face, Apple all have blocks on there brands

At the time of listing there were no requirement to provide invoices etc, and i was able to list using the barcode which matched the existing list. I got a parallel import complaint from the brand but upon providing the invoice the block was lifted and the complaint was removed. A month later i got the second complaint. However upon checking on SellerAmp now the product is also gated. Funny thing is i havent even sold a single item. I can quite easily take the items down and not sell again to avoid all this. But its just a bit frustrating when you can actually list items without any issue and everything is as it should yet you end up in a situation where you are threatened with account closure. I thought selling on Amazon would be an adventure. A walk in the park. turns out to be… Jurassic park

No Dr.s were involved  But yes I got into the habbit of emailing brands directly. Unfortunately these items were bough before that. Thank you for your time. I shall see where I get with this complaint, hopefully i’ll get the detailed invoice soon.
