Deliveries to "BIG YELLOW SELF STORAGE CO." and charback claims. Legit or scam?

Hi fellow warriors in Amazon armor, I’m based in Central Europe, so I’m not entirely sure if it’s common for customers in the UK to use “BIG YELLOW SELF STORAGE CO.” as their delivery address. Over the past 18 months, we’ve received six orders where customers initially provided a different address but later, via Amazon messages, requested the delivery address to be changed to “BIG YELLOW SELF STORAGE CO.” Unfortunately, these orders have caused serious issues, including lost packages and even chargeback claims. Could someone clarify if this is a legitimate delivery practice or if it might be a scam? Has anyone else noticed a similar pattern or experienced this kind of customer behavior? Today, we received two more orders totaling £450, and we’re concerned about falling into another potential scam. Thanks for your insights,Mike

BIg yellow storage have several depots in the UK where you can rent units. I know there are businesses that operate from these.

However you shoukd never change a delivery address for an Amazon order, you lose what little protection you have. If you get a request, you should ask the buyer to cancel the order and place a new one with the correct address.

Above advice from @Seller_MT8rt0A2OpbCx is absolutely correct - NEVER send to a different address, even if the customer asks - this is a well known scam, as customers can then say they did not receive their order.
