i received a call rom a guy claiming to be from Amazon wanting to discuss my account. Has anyone else received any calls? Just wondering if this is legit

Yes, could be. If your account is about to be suspended they will call your given number to discuss it. You need to take this very seriously.

This may well be genuine, but there was a scam a while ago, where someone (it may have been a Matthew, but probably coincidence) was trying to get the sellers mobile number and/or verification code sent to that number.
Just be careful and don’t give out any security details, just in case.

It’s hard to tell because amazon will send you unexpected emails and phone calls with no warning, making it impossible to differentiate between legit calls and scammers.

I’ve also had emails/calls from someone (I think) works for Amazon, pushing FBA and SFP. I’m actually considering trialling FBA so he said he’s calling me this week.

I get these every few months to get me to enrollment on FBA or PAN or advertising…As long as they’re not wanting personal or account info why worry?

I had one the other day too. It was genuinely amazon - get them to email you to confirm it is genuine. Think they regretted calling me though! They wanted to see how we were getting on during covid and offer support. We had a lengthy conversation about the fact that our feedback is being badly impacted upon due to late deliveries and amazon are doing nothing to protect their sellers against this right now. They know about the negative feedback but are doing nothing about it!

Golden rule - which ever number you have given Amazon as your emergency number ALWAYS answer it even if you think it’s a scam or a cold call. If your account is about to be suspended they’ll only call you once
