Order refunded without warning...?
Hi
We sold an item couple of weeks ago SFP. Order was delivered next day. Today we receive an email from Amazon: Refund initiated for order… Refund Reason: General adjustment…
There was never any contact from customer or Amazon. Never any cases opened and no return request so I’m at the loss in terms of finding any reason for this. Has anyone come across anything like this and what is the best way to resolve it?
Thanks

When you sell on SFP, you authorise Amazon to deal with all customer service directly. You are just the warehouse. You’ll need to file a safe-t claim to try to recoup any losses.

You will need to make a SAFE T claim
It is in the drop down on orders
Make sure you include all relevant information, I treat it like an A to Z as they can be denied and you have no appeal option

Yes, it’s why we stopped using it. It’s not their money so they don’t care. We had an item returned damaged, with no packaging and with pieces missing and Amazon still gave them a full refund.

If you use Amazon logistics as the shiping service it’s also worth filing a shipping claim, select the reason “Other” and explain that the order was fully refunded with the refund reason given as “General adjustment”, as such you can’t see why it was refunded and have no idea whether it’s a fault with the delivery, ask them to look into it and reimburse you if possible.
In my experience they refund you the full value of the order around 10% of the time in these cases and around 50% of the time when it’s a missing/late/damaged shipment.
Takes 10 seconds to submit the claim though so always worth it.
SAFE-T claims are a little more random in my experience, both in terms of how much you get and how likely you are to win one.
on a related note, a LOT of our SFP returns are flagged as “seller pays for return” when the reason for the return is flagged as “CR-Damaged by FC”, “CR-Missed estimated delivery” and my favorite “CR-Switcheroo” (what does this last one even mean?)
